Full, Partial, and Everything in Between
Full dentures step in when every tooth in an arch is gone or beyond saving. Resting on the gums and held by suction and the natural shape of your mouth, a well-made set restores chewing, clear speech, and the facial support that teeth quietly provide.

How Dental Dentures Works
Watch this short animation for a clear overview of the procedure.
Partial dentures fill scattered gaps while the healthy teeth you still have stay right where they belong, clasped gently for stability and engineered to protect them rather than wear them down. Both styles are part of the restorative dentistry we deliver every week on Juban Road, and both are built from impressions of your actual mouth, not an approximation.
Which Direction Fits Your Situation
- Full denture: the right reset when an entire arch is missing or failing, crafted from detailed impressions of your gums and jaw
- Partial denture: the smarter play when strong natural teeth remain worth keeping and anchoring to
The dividing line is not always obvious. Keeping a few strategic teeth can make a partial the better long-term plan; in other mouths a clean start with a full denture wins. Your consultation ends that guesswork with X-rays and a frank conversation.
How Your Dentures Get Built
Fit is everything, so the process deliberately takes a few visits:
- Exam, and impressions of your gums and any remaining teeth
- Bite registration recording how your jaws meet
- A wax try-in where you preview shape and color and request changes
- Final delivery with careful adjustment
- Follow-up visits to dial in comfort as your mouth adapts
That try-in appointment is your veto round. Tell us what you see and we adjust before anything is final. Small refinements there are what separate a denture you tolerate from a denture you forget you are wearing.
Living Well With Dentures
- Rinse them after eating
- Brush daily with a soft denture brush
- Soak overnight in cleaning solution, never let them dry out
- Handle over a folded towel or water-filled sink
- Keep your dental visits so we can watch the fit and your tissue health
Mouths change shape gradually, and even excellent dentures loosen over the years. Sore spots, clicking, or new movement are worth a quick visit; relines and adjustments at our office restore the fit properly. And because we welcome walk-ins, a cracked denture on a Tuesday does not have to ruin the week.
Breaking Them In, Day by Day
New dentures take a short apprenticeship: read aloud at home so speech settles, start with tender foods in small bites, and expect a little extra saliva the first week while your mouth treats the newcomer. Sore spots that appear along the way are a quick adjustment appointment, never something to endure. Patients who stay patient those first couple of weeks end up with dentures that genuinely feel like theirs.
When Rock-Solid Stability Is the Real Goal
If slipping is your deal-breaker, implant-supported dentures snap onto posts anchored in the jaw by our in-house oral surgeon, Dr. Lida Mirzai, turning a denture into equipment you trust at the dinner table and in front of a crowd. Many patients begin with traditional dentures and upgrade later, and we can design your plan with that stepping-stone in mind from day one.
